Resilient to the End

Finishing Strong!

My True ID’s Executive Director, Jessica Whittet, pledged to run, walk, bike 10 miles a day for True ID. And she did it!

HopeCo’s Veronica Anzorena awarded Jessica with a Waterproof Gold, Resilient Necklace on the day she finished the last mile of her 3,650 mile journey.

We all know someone who will go the extra mile for someone else, they are a rare and beautiful kind.

True ID’s Executive Director, Jessica Whittet, is one of those “extra mile” people. Jessica pledged to run, walk, bike 10 miles a day for a year for True ID. That’s 3,650 miles in one year! She ran with friends, hiked with survivors, biked with their program participants and ran in the solace of the mornings alone in order to complete the goal.

True ID is a program for survivors of human trafficking in Las Vegas. The organization provides women overcoming exploitation a bridge of safe housing after they have completed a 1-year program. Transitioning into independence is a crucial part of success for these survivors.

On September 7, 2024, True ID invited their supporter to join Jessica as she “finished the race” and ran the last mile of her 3,650 miles. It was an exciting time as she arrived with friends waiting to greet her.

HopeCo. Global rewarded Jessica with a Waterproof Gold, Resilient Necklace for being such an inspiration. She had inquired whether we had any jewelry she could wear while exercising - the kind that can hold up in extreme settings. We made it happen for her! Plus, the artisan who crafted the Resilient Waterproof Necklaces just happened to be a participant in the True ID program. What a great gift for an amazing lady. Jessica, you are a true hero to us all.
